Caterpillar’s Noblesville operation is a cutting-edge motor prototyping facility focused on the development of advanced electric motor technologies — work that directly supports the company’s global electrification strategy.
The facility occupies a 103,000-square-foot building west of Riverview Health Arena with frontage on I-69. Built in 2018 and previously home to BorgWarner, the space came equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, giving Caterpillar a strong foundation for innovation from day one. The operation is expected to bring approximately 25 high-skilled, high-wage jobs to the community.
It’s exactly the kind of project Innovation Mile was designed for: advanced manufacturing, meaningful job creation, and technology that shapes what comes next.
Why Innovation Mile
Caterpillar’s arrival reinforced Innovation Mile’s positioning as a hub for advanced industry alongside health care and sports, with direct I-69 access and an existing, ready-to-use facility making the decision straightforward.
The surrounding district doesn’t hurt, either. With Riverview Health Arena next door, Ruoff Music Center and Hamilton Town Center minutes away, and a growing base of hotels and restaurants, Innovation Mile gives employers a location that helps them recruit — and gives their teams a place they actually want to work.
Land Ready. Vision Set.
